The Endpoint Administrator is responsible for managing the college's multi-platform endpoint management systems. These responsibilities include operating system and application packaging and deployment, configuration and patch management, and remote and security management. Managing and supporting these systems involves day-to-day administration, coordination, and operation. The Endpoint Administrator will also interface with IT department staff and users to determine campus support needs.
Serves as the primary technical lead and provides advanced technical support and administration for the college's multi-platform endpoint management systems. This is accomplished by developing an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the software and services and how they impact college IT support efforts and initiatives. This would also include implementing and configuring the software and systems, documenting and managing security and changes per college guidelines, and coordinating support efforts with vendors, college IT support staff, and other stakeholders.
Support IT staff with special projects by gathering relevant information, conducting research, preparing reports, and analyzing Endpoint Management Systems and Windows Operating Systems. Provide leadership to IT staff serving as secondary support for Endpoint Management Systems. Participate in department meetings, proactively manage security risks, and implement responsive solutions.
Assist in developing implementation strategies for new tools and methodologies. Lead the evaluation and testing of tools, processes, and technologies, and deliver results and recommendations to leadership.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

Required Education:
High school diploma/GED
Required Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of current experience in Endpoint Administration within an enterprise environment .
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Expertise in configuring, upgrading, patching, and maintaining an IT systems/asset management software, including deploying and managing client agents.
Proficiency in creating and interpreting reports within Help Desk Ticketing Systems.
Skilled in configuring, upgrading, and patching remote support and endpoint protection systems.
Experience coordinating server hardware and operating system upgrades.
Knowledge of administering cloud-based digital signage systems.
Ability to research, test, and implement new Windows OS versions while addressing end-of-life scenarios.
Proficiency in applying NIST guidelines to harden Windows operating systems and maintain security standards.
Skilled in developing and managing endpoint patching procedures for operating systems and third-party applications.
Expertise in creating, testing, and deploying automated Windows desktop images and designing automated software upgrade and troubleshooting processes.
Strong documentation skills for patch management, OS upgrades, and system troubleshooting.
