Position Summary
The Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) seeks a dynamic and collaborative individual who is eager to support Arts & Sciences graduate programs and academic initiatives at Washington University in St. Louis.
This new position will support efforts to research, design, implement, and maintain graduate degree programs and certificates, innovations in graduate curriculum, and other graduate-level educational experiences. This work includes research into the policies and offerings of peer institutions and knowledge of the national (and international) landscape of graduate education. In addition, the Coordinator will develop and enhance opportunities for graduate student professional development, career preparation, and recognition through honors and awards programs. The Coordinator will perform website work to publish information about ongoing academic initiatives. The Coordinator will work closely with the OGS Director of Academic Initiatives and Special Projects, join a collaborative OGS team, and engage with other university partners to help launch and coordinate successful graduate programs and other academic and strategic initiatives.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Research, support, and implement graduate curriculum and policy, graduate programs, innovations in graduate education, and other graduate educational experiences. Conduct research on best practices and peer comparisons of graduate programs.
Increase graduate student professional development and career support by maintaining and enhancing current initiatives and developing additional initiatives.
Organize nomination details and evaluation processes for graduate-level honors, awards, fellowships, and scholarships. Provide regular reports.
Perform project management functions, including scheduling meetings, composing materials and agendas, creating reports, managing files, collecting data, and following up to see projects to completion.
Update and maintain webpages and webforms on the OGS website related to graduate programs and curricular experiences.
Participate in office-wide events including graduation, graduate orientation, and other OGS-related events.
Supervise student workers on various projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Base pay is commensurate with experience.The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
