The Assistant Director assists TLC colleagues in providing resources for cross-disciplinary, evidence-based pedagogical support for instructors of record and supports the cultivation of relationships and partnerships among TLC colleagues and across campus with other teaching support units, programs, and initiatives to promote adoption of innovative and equitable teaching practices relevant to multiple disciplines.
Core responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: assisting in the design, implementation, and facilitation of on-campus, online, and hybrid workshops for instructors, supporting the organization of communities of practice, and working with colleagues to contribute to a TLC repository of digital resources such as teaching guides and bulletins. In addition, responsibilities include working with the Director to build relationships with diverse campus stakeholders and colleagues in academic departments and other disciplinary teaching support units, collaborating with TLC colleagues to further programmatic growth and relevance of TLC resources and services offered to instructors.
