Moravian Academy is seeking passionate and highly qualified educators to join our Summer Individualized Intensive Educational Program for Summer 2025. This six-week program offers a unique opportunity to work closely with students in small groups to foster growth in Math and English Language Arts (ELA). The program emphasizes research-based best practices, individualized instruction, and a commitment to academic excellence, aligning with Moravian Academy’s mission and values.
Program Overview:
Dates: July 7 – August 11, 2025
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: Merle-Smith Campus, Moravian Academy
Focus Areas: Math and ELA, with diagnostic assessments and progress monitoring to tailor instruction to individual student needs
Teacher/Student Ratio: 1:4 for personalized attention
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and implement lesson plans to support student academic growth based on diagnostic assessments and student progress.
Deliver individualized instruction in Math and/or ELA to small groups of students.
Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and make data-driven adjustments to instruction.
Collaborate with program administrators and fellow teachers to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and program outcomes.
Uphold Moravian Academy’s mission and values by fostering an inclusive, engaging, and academically enriching environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Demonstrated expertise in Math and/or ELA instruction, with experience in individualized or small-group teaching.
Familiarity with diagnostic assessments and progress monitoring tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students and parents.
Commitment to research-based best practices in education and ongoing professional development.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse student population.
Excellent time management skills, flexibility, and ability to work independently and problem solve.
Proficiency with Google Docs and on-line data keeping systems.
Clearances and authorization required to work with children in the State of Pennsylvania.

Compensation and Benefits
$75/hour for 3-hour daily instruction.
