The salary for this position is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour. Placement in the salary range is based on experience, education and all other factors permitted by law.
The Advancement Database Manager will report to the Director of Advancement Services and is responsible for stewarding and maintaining all electronic and archived Advancement records. Under the director of the Director of Advancement Services, this role will establish and implement best practices for data management while supporting the reporting and research needs of the advancement team. The Advancement Database Manager will coordinate all data related tasks, assist with entering donations, and help process gift acknowledgements using the schools database systems when needed. This position is a non-exempt, 12 month position, 35 hours per week. Key responsibilities are as follow:
Database Management and Gift Processing
Use Blackbaud/ Raiser's Edge/ NXT to enter and track data, run reports, and generate queries.
Perform year end reporting tasks such as code updates and report generation.
Prepare necessary reports for annual audit and ensure in office presence during the process.
Assist with outstanding pledge reports and reconcile them with fundraisers.
File and scan pledge letters in preparation for the annual audit.
Maintain accurate electronic and paper files for all development efforts.
Set up tracking for appeals and provide related reporting as requested.
Assist with duties of the Director of Advancement Services as needed, including BoostMy School management, Blackbaud, VPN setup and maintenance, gift processing, and business office audit preparation.
Perform daily address updates in the database based on team information and returned mail.
Annual Fund and Leadership Giving Support
Generate all lists and reports required for Annual Fund appeals, both digital and paper.
Track appeals and provide related reporting as requested.
Lead current family research efforts and create lists or queries from various databases as needed.
Assist the Leadership Giving Team with data tracking, reporting and data mining in Raiser's Edge.
Annual Reporting
Prepare and distribute DASL, NAIS, and VSE survey data annually.
Generate statistics for the Annual Report, including donor names, participation percentages for classes and parents and other donor categories.
Support in house mailings, including appeals, maintain stationery inventory, ordering supplies, when needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Associate's degree required.
Experience in a related field is preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in addition to being able and willing to collaborate.
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly, including experience with MS Office and Google.
Experience with donor/ gift database systems, preferably Blackbaud (Raiser's Edge, NXT)
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of accounting practices and money handling experience.
Ability to multi-task and work with constant disruptions.
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Patience and a sense of humor.
