This is a short-term, full-time contractual position supporting the Office of Student Affairs.The schedule mirrors Maryland Carey Law's academic calendar. This contract will run from hire until February 2, 2025 during office open hours (Monday - Friday). The rate is $33.00 per hour.
Primary Duties:
* Oversee the day-to-day administrative support for co-curriculars and student organizations. Manage supplies, maintain the student leadership directory, and update all website information, Microsoft Teams, and passwords for email accounts. Assist co-curricular teams, student organizations, and journals with budgeting, publications, and general inquires. * Supervise, coordinate, advise, and promote student organizations. Assist student organizations in establishing appropriate governance structures and in complying with all school of law and university requirements. Manage student organization storage spaces. * Serve as the primary advisor and project manager for all student events related to student organizations, co-curricular teams, and bar review companies. Collaborate with school of law stakeholders and student leaders to plan and deliver cohesive student related events. Exercise independent judgment in managing, reviewing, and approving student events. In conjunction, accurately manage OSA student events calendar. * Work with the Office Manager for Student Services to oversee and manage the administration of student travel and expense reimbursement processes related to co-curriculars and student organizations. Work with Travel Captains and law school administration to process registrations for team competitions. Manage travel requests and reimbursements for travel by students and coaches. * Assist the Associate Dean for Student Services and the Director of Student Affairs with planning academic advising, wellness, and other programs for current students. * Assist the Associate Dean for Student Services and the Director of Student Affairs in coordinating student counseling and intervention efforts. Directly assist students seeking university services. * Assist the Director of Student Affairs in the implementation of accommodations for our ADA students and Peer Advisor program as needed. * Manage and maintain student information appropriately and confidentiality. * Handle special projects as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field. Experience: Three (3) years of progressive experience working with college students. Supervisory Experience: One (1) year of work coordination, training, or supervision or in a student leadership role.
