Position Summary
Coordinates the daily operations of faculty recruitment for the Schoolâ™s Office for Faculty Affairs (OFRA) and provides administrative support for all faculty recruitment related needs. Provides coordination and support for interim, annual and long-range strategic faculty hiring initiatives and planning for faculty hiring. This position handles the collection of faculty candidate application information, communication with candidates and the scheduling and implementation of faculty interviews, campus visits, as well as follow-up and coordination throughout the faculty hiring process. In supporting faculty hiring for the SPH, this position will also support the SPH Faculty Recruitment Committee operations and meetings.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinates the day-to-day faculty recruitment tasks for the School of Public Health Faculty Affairs office, including the coordination and implementation of all faculty recruitment and hiring efforts.
Coordinates the posting of faculty positions on the Interfolio platform and the organization of applications submitted through the platform for review by the Faculty Recruitment Committee (FRC).
Tracks faculty candidate applications throughout the review process and assistants in the development of reporting on faculty recruitment for the FRC and SPH leadership.
Professionally communicates with faculty candidates as needed to plan candidate interviews and on-campus visits. Corresponds with faculty candidates through email communication for scheduling purposes and coordinates candidate interactions with the School of Public Health.
Provides support for planning and coordination of candidate in-person visits and serves as a liaison for the School of Public Health during candidate visits. Coordinates the calendar of the Faculty Affairs Office to ensure that candidate visits are scheduled in coordination with calendars of SPH leadership and other SPH and university events and needs.
Tracks costs associated with faculty recruitment expenses and enters these expenses in the Workday accounting system and files all associated paperwork. Tracks expenses associated with faculty recruitment and any reimbursement needed.
Coordinates the development and implementation of a data management platform and process for faculty recruitment activities and candidate information.
Coordination of faculty recruitment information on Interfolio and Box platforms.
Assists the Director of Faculty Affairs with the development of Standard Operating Procedures for faculty recruitment activities.
Tracks faculty recruitment tasks in project management software to allow for standardized reporting on projects, timelines and next steps.
Faculty Recruitment Committee (FRC): the Faculty Affairs Coordinator supports School of Public Health faculty recruitment through SPH FRC support and administrative activities, as follows:
Works closely with the Director of Faculty Affairs and the Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs to plan committee meetings, organize notes and provide follow up as needed from committee meetings. Schedules regularly occurring and as-needed FRC meetings to allow for the committee needs and assists in the development of communications following the meetings.
Faculty Onboarding: The Faculty Affairs coordinator assists, as needed with faculty onboarding needs in collaboration with the Director of Faculty Affairs, HR, the Deanâ™s office, and the business office following best practices. Assist in the successful recruitment and onboarding of all new faculty hires. Initiate processes for new faculty business cards, initiation of HR, IT and Operations office communications to new faculty and tracking onboarding of new faculty membersâ™ progress and transition to the School.

Salary Range
$23.37 - $36.19 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
