Department: Method & Eval Research Core Facility-9200
Description of Work:
Provide leadership and program evaluation and analysis for the Methodology and Evaluation Research Core Facility's projects. Manage daily activities necessary to carry out evaluation projects. Communicate regularly with clients, partnering organizations, and UNL staff to complete research and evaluation activities in a timely manner. Develop logic models, evaluation plans, research designs, data collection instruments, and sampling frames. Design and apply advanced qualitative and mixed-method research methodologies. Collect quantitative and qualitative data, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, observations, and document review. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and synthesize results into written and oral reports. When applicable, monitor projects to ensure compliance with IRB protocols. Develop and conduct trainings within areas of expertise to varying audiences. Provide direction and oversight to junior staff to fulfill project needs. Assist with the development of new grants and contracts. Must be willing to travel occasionally, primarily in state, including some overnight stays.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a social science field plus 4 years of experience in research management, data collection, and analysis; equivalent education/ experience considered. Three (3) years of project management experience. Experience writing reports. Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Experience with logic models. Experience developing evaluation or research designs. Experience developing data collection instruments. Advanced knowledge of evaluation research. Advanced methodological skills. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and SPSS (or other analytical) software. Problem solving skills. Experience must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to organize large amounts of information, multi-task, assess support staff capabilities, direct activities, and effectively manage time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in social science field preferred. Experience with grant development. Experience developing and conducting training. Supervisory experience.
