Provide copy editing, training and story development for news reporters. This position will also supervise some staff members. Oversee daily news planning and production. Utilize broadcast and digital storyteller skills to help staff create engaging and impactful content.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, broadcasting, or related field and three years of full-time content creation experience in public broadcasting or a media-related industry; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience must demonstrate strong editing, interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Skill with audio production techniques and procedures. Understanding of current issues in Nebraska. Demonstrated effective interviewing techniques to gather desired information. Ability to write clear and succinct scripts for audiences on multiple platform; train reporters and student workers; and edit and mentor news reporters and producers. Demonstrated knowledge of available audio production systems and techniques for quality sound reproduction. Ability to evaluate current program and news content production and revise as necessary to meet Nebraska citizen needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in journalism, communications, broadcasting, or related field and five years of supervisory experience and skills. Skilled with producing content for multiple content platforms. Ability to serve as on-air host for news magazine programs as needed.
