The Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is seeking a junior or mid-career faculty to join our team.
The Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition offers a comprehensive approach to weight management in children. Our initiatives and programs focus on prevention, advocacy, medical and surgical management of childhood obesity in addition to a strong research component. The Center is staffed with physicians, nurse practitioners, dietitians, behavioral psychologists, physical therapists, a social worker, nursing and administrative staff. In addition to educational activities for medical students and residents, the Center supports a childhood obesity fellowship program.
Qualified candidates for this position will be BC/BE in General Pediatrics, Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Adolescent Medicine, Pediatric Endocrinology or other Pediatric specialist with a strong interest and/or prior experience in clinical care, teaching, research, advocacy or project management related to childhood obesity. Responsibilities will include providing care in our bariatric and medical clinics, teaching and participating in research and quality improvement initiatives, depending on experience and interest. Experience with clinic operations, quality improvement, program development preferred. Opportunity to have dual position in Primary Care or another appropriate department is negotiable.
