Oxbridge offers a custom mathematics curriculum that is regularly evolving. In addition to advanced mathematics including Multivariable Calculus and Differential Equations, we currently offer unique courses such as Digital Logic and Artificial Intelligence & Computational Modeling. Faculty members can create innovative courses that highlight their interests and area of expertise, and may also develop and lead specialized electives that align with student interests.
We are seeking a talented and inspiring Upper School Mathematics Teacher to join our exceptional faculty and contribute to our vibrant learning community. The Upper School Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching a range of mathematics courses at the Regular, Honors, and Honors Seminar levels. This teacher will inspire a deep appreciation for mathematics, promote critical thinking, and utilize engaging, student-centered teaching practices. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, providing individualized support, and engaging students in collaborative, problem-solving experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with Oxbridge Academy’s mathematics curriculum, tailored to meet diverse student needs and foster a love of learning. Teach five sections of mathematics courses ranging from Algebra 1 through our most advanced offerings. Assess and document student progress, providing timely, constructive feedback to students and parents. Cultivate an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative classroom culture that encourages students to take intellectual risks and develop a growth mindset. Actively support Oxbridge’s mission by building meaningful relationships with students, mentoring them in both academics and character development. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events, contributing to a cohesive, mission-driven academic environment. Collaborate with colleagues across departments to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities that enrich students' understanding of mathematics. Engage with parents, guardians, and support staff to communicate student progress and address individual learning needs.

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field required; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching mathematics at the Upper School level. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering positive, supportive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Proficiency in utilizing instructional technology to create dynamic and engaging learning experiences. Preferred Attributes:
Prior experience teaching in an independent or private school, ideally within a mission-driven educational community. Willingness and interest in teaching an occasional middle school math course. Interest in contributing to the school community beyond the classroom with a demonstrated ability to coach or mentor students in co-curricular or extracurricular activities. Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and innovative teaching practices.
