The CEHS Assistant Director of Communications in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will work with the CEHS Director of Communicationsto raise the visibility and stature of the college through the development of marketing and content. This individual will be responsible for the delivery of strategic marketing and communications to elevate the college's reputation with key constituencies, with a focus on alumni engagement. This individual will serve as the communications liaison between CEHS and the Nebraska Alumni Association and the University of Nebraska Foundation. Additionally, this individual will support general marketing and communications efforts across the college.
Specifically, the Assistant Director will need to: 1) Develop and execute strategies to engage with alumni through regular communications, including sharing stories and alumni through the CEHS website and social media channels. 2) Collaborate with University Foundation staff to create and disseminate messaging related to external engagement for the college. 3) Assist with promotion of CEHS to internal and external audiences as assigned by the CEHS Director of Communications.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design, or related field; * Three (3) years of professional experience in a marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design or related field; equivalent education/experience considered. * Developed skills implementing integrated marketing practices is necessary. * Demonstrated leadership ability in planning, marketing, and communication strategies for a variety of communication platforms including publications, websites, social media, and email campaigns necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design, or related field; * Five (5) years of experience in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design or a related field. * Experience working in higher education is desirable. * Familiarity with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln brand helpful.
