This position provides leadership and direction for the long-term and sustainable growth of Minnesota’s system of airports. This includes providing the office with expertise in airport safety zoning and compatible land use around airports, managing and overseeing the Air Service Marketing grant program, Airport Layout Plan (ALP) reviews and approval processes, and management of aviation system and environmental planning activities in a particular region of the state. The position will also participate in all State Aviation System Planning activities, including, but not limited to, updates to the State Aviation System Plan and a continuous system planning process. Lastly, the position may also serve as a project manager for various long- or short-term planning efforts and/or studies.
