Provides support for a range of Communications efforts, including news, marketing, and publication projects. Individual reports to the Associate Director of Communications.
The Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications is seeking a creative storyteller who is skilled at crafting compelling content across assorted multimedia platforms including written stories video, and social media, . The candidate should be knowledgeable about social media trends and adept at executing marketing strategies from concept to completion.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides support and assistance for marketing and public relations projects, including writing stories for the Centre College website and print publications, filming and editing video content for social media and online dissemination, and crafting engaging and compelling social media content;
Assists with copywriting and production of recruitment materials and web content;
Collects internal news for newsletters and encouraging colleagues to collaborate
Oversees assigned sections of the College website;
Demonstrates an appreciation of and commitment to further an inclusive culture for those of diverse backgrounds such as ability, age, class, ethnicity, faith background, gender expression, gender identity, geographic region, national origin, neurodiversity, race, and sexual orientation that comprise individual and group expressions of identity.
Marginal Job Functions:
Contributes to the overall success of the department by performing all other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education and Experience
High School diploma required. Related college degree desirable.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong writing and communication skills are a must. Comfort with varied social media platforms, basic video and editing strategies and software preferred.
Experience with content management systems, and email distribution programs are beneficial.
Physical Requirements
Limited pushing, pulling, and lifting (not to exceed 20 lbs.). Mobility on campus necessary.
