FiberLight is looking for a strong Portfolio Manager to join our team. In this role, the selected candidate would be responsible for managing the company's project and program management processes, standards, and methodologies. This role will ensure the successful planning and delivery of complex programs across the organization, aligning projects with business goals, creating integrated schedules, optimizing resources, and driving risk mitigation strategies. This role will also be responsible for developing and managing complex large-scale projects, analyzing proposed projects, developing detailed project plans and schedules, and identify and assembling project teams; perform (either directly or through project managers) scheduling, tracking, reporting, risk analysis, cost management, control of projects, and manage relationships with customer and/or external vendors. This role will require continuous evaluation of each project to ensure that they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
Essential Job Functions
Oversee the portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and prioritization of initiatives. Establish high impact program reviews
Develop integrated schedules, resource plans, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies
Oversee and monitor project progress, risks, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Ensure effective resource allocation, balancing the demands of multiple projects and optimizing team capacity.
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other key stakeholders across the organization in developing cross functional plans and delivery schedules
Manage and track programs budgets
Serve as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and engagement.
Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into actionable project plans.
Facilitate decision-making processes, ensuring that project priorities align with business objectives.
Conduct meetings to support and coordinate with senior level managers and other PMs for accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution.
Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding company standards.
Ensure quality control on all projects.
Planning to include setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, assigning team members to various deliverables, and allocating resources effectively.
Drafting new and improving existing project management policies and processes.
Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
Prepare reports and read outs for upper management regarding the status of each project.
Manage very complex projects, with activities that are distinct for each project, span company-wide/nation-wide, and require a high level of analysis to create project plans.
Requirements
Minimum 8 Years of Program Management Leadership Experience
10 plus years of Project Management Experience
Proven track record in building and strengthening a Program Management function
Experience in technical workflows and agile methodologies and processes
Advanced Project Management Tool Knowledge and adjacent platforms (Smartsheet, Microsoft Suite, etc.)
Program management experience in ecommerce industry
Experience in continuous improvement strategies and processes
Team management and coaching / mentoring experience
Experience working in a team environment.
Project management and analytical thinking a must.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate MUST be Adaptable – Projects, Workload and Schedules change throughout the quarter/year, requiring the candidate to be adaptable to a dynamic environment that shifts and moves quickly.
Physical Requirements
