Position Summary
This role will manage a program for employer development within the Center for Career Engagement (CCE), focusing on identifying and cultivating relationships with key industry leaders to secure job and internship opportunities for students. The position involves executing an outreach plan in collaboration with the Senior Associate Director, Employer Development, and other university partners to enhance employer engagement.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Employer Development
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify potential relationships with target organizations.
Collaborate closely with the teams in the Center for Career Engagement to align on target organizations, define outcomes, and articulate the benefits of partnerships.
Develop relationships with key decision-makers in target companies.
Represent the CCE at networking events to foster new contacts and generate leads.
Follow up on leads generated from employer engagement, advancement, and university partners.
Generate relationships and partnerships with organizations that will lead to internships and jobs for students.
Coordinate with and educate directors and career coaches to inform them of market and industry trends affecting student employment prospects.
Develop Go-To-Market Strategy
Collaborate with leadership and internal stakeholders to develop and update the strategy for go-to-market outreach.
Identify target companies and key industries for establishing new relationships.
Implement the plan in collaboration with the Senior Associate Director, Employer Development, and the student affairs advancement team.
Business and Industry Knowledge
Contribute to the overall employer development strategy by staying abreast of market trends.
Advise on market positioning and potential growth areas in collaboration with the leadership team.
Administration
Ensure contacts and related information in the CRM and databases are current, including engagement records.
Collaboration
Student Advising: Meet with students and alumni, per office policies, to provide general advice and customized strategies for successful career searches.
Other duties as assigned.

More About This Job
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in social sciences or STEM fields or terminal degree in education, library sciences or related fields.
Experience working with international students and/or under-resourced students is desirable.
Six years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Career Development & Planning, Career Coaching/Counseling/Advising, or Training and Development.
Demonstrated stellar interpersonal skills needed, as well as strong skills in relationship-building, advising, organization, leadership, and creative thinking.
Demonstrated client/peer relationship management skills and orientation.
Ability to problem solve and work with little supervision while depending on collaboration across a matrixed organization to achieve success; strong initiative and follow-through.
Demonstrated ability to build highly effective curricula and programming.
Outstanding communication skills, both one-on-one and in small and large groups.
Experience in a design related field.

$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
