The Opportunity:
As the Program Support Supervisor 1, you will work as a member of a team that facilitates the collection of scientific survey data in our research lab north of the main campus in Pullman, at the Washington State University (WSU) Research and Technology Park. Your work will involve supervising and training support staff, collecting survey data via phone interviews, data entry, and printing and mailing large scale projects. You will closely work with data collection coordinator and project managers to coordinate, schedule, and monitor program activities to achieve consistency with project goals and timelines. As part of a team, maintain the lab workspace and devise and implement new procedures. Evening and weekend shifts required, as well as travel for field work as needed.
Specifically, you will be supervising numerous support staff, who are often current undergraduate students at WSU, in the collection of survey data via a Computer Assisted Telephone Interview system (CATI). Deliver basic job training and specialized project trainings and Voxco CATI trainings to 75-100 employees annually. With delegated authority, you will interview and recommend selection of applicants, assign and schedule work and provide performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary action. Monitor phone interviews conducted by support staff and provide feedback to improve accuracy and ensure quality of data. Facilitating data entry and validation of paper surveys. Print and mail large scale projects which requires use of production printers and assembly equipment.
Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent AND three years of applicable experience in the program specialty; OR equivalent education/experience. Program Specialty: survey research, data collection, staff supervision.
Ability to work Sunday-Thursday 12:00pm to 9:00pm.
Ability to physically work at the Research Park in Pullman
Ability to travel.
Ability to lift 5-30 lbs repetitively and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Must be able to bend, twist, push, pull, crouch, kneel and stoop.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent experience with survey/data collection.
Proficient at Voxco or other Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) software. Familiar with how to compile a Data Entry Code Book, and report review and preparation.

Monthly Salary: $3,558.00 to $4,740.00 | Range 41, Step A-M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
