Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote (7.5 hours each day)
SALARY: Anticipated salary range $70,000.00 - $80,000.00. Actual salary is commensurate with experience and education. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Accounts Manager for Marketing and Communications serves as the primary liaison for internal clients, including academic departments, administrative offices, and leadership, fostering strong, long-term relationships to understand and address their marketing needs. The position involves ongoing consultation on marketing strategies, project timelines, and deliverables while proactively resolving client concerns.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for internal clients, including academic departments, administrative offices, and leadership
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their marketing needs and ensuring their goals are met
Provide ongoing consultation to stakeholders on marketing strategies, project timelines, and deliverables.
Proactively address client concerns and work to resolve issues efficiently.
Marketing Strategy and Execution:
Collaborate with the marketing and communications team on implementation of marketing campaigns that align with the institution's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring that each is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Work closely with creative teams, digital marketing specialists, and external vendors to produce high-quality marketing materials, including digital ads, print collateral, social media campaigns, and email marketing.
Monitor project performance and assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing reports and insights to stakeholders.
Project Management:
Lead the end-to-end management of marketing projects, from initial client brief through execution and post-campaign analysis.
Develop project timelines, set milestones, and ensure clear communication with all parties involved.
Oversee the creation and approval process for marketing assets, ensuring all content is consistent with the institution's branding and messaging guidelines.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage external agencies or vendors as needed.
Data-Driven Marketing and Reporting.
Analyze marketing campaign performance using key metrics such as engagement rates, conversion rates, and ROI.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on campaign progress, results, and areas for improvement.
Make data-driven recommendations to optimize future marketing strategies.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
Track and report on project expenditures, making adjustments as needed to keep projects on budget.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Senior Executive Director of Strategic Communications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
At least 3 years of experience in account management, marketing, or related roles, preferably in a higher education setting.
Proven track record of managing marketing projects and campaigns with measurable success.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, content marketing, social media, and analytics tools.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience working with creative teams, vendors, and digital marketing platforms.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Candidate will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in higher education marketing or a related field.
Familiarity with marketing automation software (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana).
Understanding of the higher education landscape, including student recruitment, retention, and community engagement.
Bilingual or Multilingual in Spanish
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions vary based on job responsibilities but generally include a combination of physical and virtual tasks in an office, classroom, or campus setting. Duties may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking, the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on occasion, and regular use of computer technology and other office equipment. Some roles may require direct interaction with students, staff, and faculty, which can include verbal communication, active listening, and occasional travel across campus.
