As a Part-TimePhlebotomy Lab Assistant, you will be under the supervision of the Allied Health Coordinator and you will be tasked with assisting in lab and clinical instruction approximately 8-12 hours a week (subject to change). This role requires a comprehensive understanding of current best practices in phlebotomy standards, care, and protocols. This position requires traveling to clinical sites with students. Moreover, the lab assistant must maintain a high level of safety and exercise oversight to ensure the safety of students. Under rare circumstances, the lab assistant must also be available to assist in didactic instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required Qualifications:
Education and experience (one of the following):
Associate degree in a related health occupations area, plus a minimum four year?s successful work experience as a phlebotomist, medical technician, RN, or related field

A minimum of five years of experience in the occupational area.

An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Be academically and experientially qualified for the level of appointment.
Successful completion of a criminal history clearance.
Successful completion of a healthcare drug screening.
Current Healthcare Provider BLS card by start date.
Immunizations as outlined by the Oregon Health Authority.
Proficiency with instructional and industry technology within 6 months (i.e. word processing, e-mail, learning management system, digital and social media).
