Position Summary
Lead a dynamic team in developing & supporting innovative integration & automation solutions on the Workday and Mulesoft platforms to meet WashU's evolving business needs. Collaborate closely with IT and business leaders to execute impactful strategic initiatives. Cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence within the team. Provide analysis, planning, organization, communication, and management necessary to support all aspects of departmental operations. Manage a professional staff. Participates in management discussions and planning at the department level. Act on behalf of Director in his/her absence.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, manage, and develop a high-functioning team with diverse backgrounds.
Recruit, retain, and motivate staff to do their best work.
Establish performance expectations, monitor progress, provide feedback, and resolve staffing issues within the team.
Foster a positive work environment that emphasizes commitment to success, excellent service and personal/professional accountability and growth for all.
Analyze and help improve business processes for Enterprise Systems and Solutions (ESS) by working closely with staff members at all levels of the organization.
Collaborate with service owners and other ESS leaders to ensure alignment of staff assignments with departmental goals.
Technical Strategy & Applications Oversight
Oversee management and strategic direction of the applications portfolio, ensuring consistency with business and partner priorities.
Provide oversight and guidance for integration solutions, development, and configuration of products/services for Workday Integrations & Mulesoft.
Lead and/or guide effective requirements analysis, solution design, data integrity, security, software development, and system configuration.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure a disciplined approach to project management.
Ensure that teams are setup to provide escalated support and troubleshooting of systems when required. Including availability during major incidents and outages as defined by WUIT.
Strategic Planning & Prioritization
Contribute to the intake & prioritization process.
Conduct capacity, availability, and impact assessment for new projects.
Collaborate closely with Business Alignment Leads (BALs) and internal leadership to gain insights into forthcoming projects and initiatives.
Develop partnerships with business partners, key users, and stakeholders to aid in strategic planning for the department.

Salary Range
$96,000.00 - $169,300.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
