The Executive Assistant provides executive analytical and administrative support to the Vice Chancellor, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (VCEDI), and to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (AVCEDI). The Executive Assistant acts as the primary contact and liaison for all interactions involving the VCEDI in support of the day-to-day-operations of the office and the VCEDI's relationships with on-campus and off-campus constituencies, and coordinates communications on behalf of the VCEDI, including verbal or written response to complex and sensitive matters. The position requires demonstrated knowledge, experience, and flexibility in providing analytical and executive administrative support with changing priorities and assignments; ability to act with professional demeanor, poise and diplomacy with all levels of university administration, faculty, students and staff, community leaders, donors, public officials, distinguished guests, and others; and discretion to maintain strict confidentiality.
Develops and administers systems for managing information, projects and communications throughout the unit; functions with a high degree of autonomy.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $77,000- $94,000 (Annual).
Required:
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of common organization-specific computer applications. Demonstrated skill in operating a personal computer and use word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, calendar management email communication and Internet browser software, and operate office equipment such as copier and fax machines.
Strong analytical / problem-solving skills.
Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization as well as the Office of the President and external constituencies.
Advanced service orientation.
Strong skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, alumni / donors, students and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.

Knowledge of basic accounting principles, skill to perform statistical calculations, and ability to analyze, track, monitor and reconcile financial information and format into reports.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
5 - 7 years' experience in related professional position
Minimum 3 years experience providing executive level support to executive management Experience operating a personal computer and use word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, calendar management email communication and Internet browser software, and operate office equipment such as copier and fax machines.
Preferred:
Advanced knowledge of the organization's processes, protocols and procedures.
Small to mid-level project management skills.
Special Conditions:
Ability to remain flexible within variable work hours, and willingness to work evenings and weekends
This position may be required to report at different work sites between Irvine and Orange. The incumbent must be able to provide their own means of transportation to/from work locations.
