The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a candidate who has the ability to master a variety of cellular and molecular biology techniques, this is essential for this role, as are good organizational and communication skills, the ability to work within a team, flexibility, and responsibility. Under the guidance of the research team, the ideal candidate will also be expected to collect data, interpret experimental results, and synthesize findings within the larger context of the project(s).
The Sr. Staff Associate II will collect data, interpret experimental results and synthesize findings within the larger context of projects. Main responsibilities will consist of creating, maintaining, characterizing and validating a panel of 3D organoids from clinical specimens, xenograft tumors and genetically engineered mice with a focus in oral and esophageal carcinomas. The candidate will serve as lab manager and supervise and teach staff associates, graduate and undergraduate students and assist postdoctoral research scientists.

Minimum Degree Required
Bachelor's degree in specific research field and 10 years experience;

Excellent communication and writing skills and ability to work as a member of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
