General Summary: The Academic Enrollment Counselor is a student focused professional who will work with current and prospective students to provide general information pertaining to the college, including: transfer credit intake, registration, immunization, and graduation. This professional is responsible for supporting the Registrar's office in key processes which include the evaluation of transfer credit, review and certification of graduation applications, and the updating and maintenance of DegreeWorks and other college systems (ie. Banner, Navigate, and Acalog). The Academic Enrollment Counselor will support students in meeting their educational goals through the use of self-service technologies such as EAB Navigate, Self-service Banner, Degree Works, Castlebranch and Electronic forms and transcripts. The Academic Enrollment Counselor will perform administrative duties assisting the Registrar, Associate Registrar, and Graduation and Transfer Coordinator in the maintenance and testing of key student support technologies as well as support other registrar and student information areas. The Academic Enrollment Counselor will also provide support to the Student Information Center by meeting with students to impart general information in regards to college programs, general admissions, placement, and course planning.
Essential Job Duties:
Provides general information, guidance and assists students with questions related to credit and non-credit programs, general admissions, placement, registration, withdrawals, appointments, and related activities.
Provides in-depth information to students both in-person and by telephone regarding transfer credits intake, registration, and degree audits.
Evaluates and Awards transfer credit from colleges and universities, high school, international institutions, CLEP, and AP testing sites. Ensures that transfer credit is quickly, accurately, and completely recorded in Banner to support the degree audit and advising processes
Assists the enrollment support staff in problem solving student issues and providing information on policies and procedures to ensure student needs are met, including determining the appropriate interpretation and application of MCC policies and procedures.
Conducts testing, upgrade, and maintenance of electronic tools and systems including, but not limited to, Banner, self-service Banner, Degree Works, Etrieve Central and EAB Navigate. Responsible for maintaining a high level of data integrity through the collection and maintenance of student data.
Performs degree audits and review for graduation completion; notifies students when academic records do not correspond with graduation requirements; works with students to resolve problems/deficiencies.
Participates in final graduation review, ensuring the accuracy of degree and certificate conferral. Acts as a registrar representative at commencement.
Assists with the testing and scribing of Middlesex' graduation auditing tool- DegreeWorks. Can run and interpret audits, processing substitutions when applicable.
Represents Middlesex at the Massachusetts State Transfer (MAST) meetings and is knowledgeable of MAST initiatives. Assists in maintaining and updating the MAST transfer website.
Lead technology support for Castlebranch and Transformative health records upload platforms
Lead report generation/editing for vaccine compliance.
Holds Degree Works training workshops. Assists in training fellow employees and empowering staff to utilize technology.
Lead on grade compliance and communications.
Assists with the semester schedule for credit classes.
Assists the Dual enrollment liaison with course creation.
Lead on OER course update and project production schedule.
Ability to create and run reports out of Argos, Banner, Navigate, Helio Campus, and Castlebranch.
Reviews and assists with publishing website content.
Supports the Student Information Center by being a backup during peak times.
Assists in the maintenance and release of electronic transcripts to meet student needs.
Participates in enrollment management communications to promote programs and enrollment services.
Serves on college committees.
Promotes and maintains responsive relations with all members of the college community.
Supports the Enrollment Management Center department as needed.
Advises students during peak enrollment and around graduation compliance.
Assist in maintaining a high level of data integrity for the division.
Serves as an advocate for our students and faculty.
Completes other related duties as assigned by the Associate Registrar and the Registrar.
Job Requirements:
Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field; with three (3) years experience and/or training involving college admissions, academic advisement, career development, or program/project management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the community college mission and student population
Experience with equity-minded work and/or understanding of individuals of diverse identities such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic level, sexual orientation, veterans, and individuals with different academic preparation levels and varying physical and learning abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Ellucian Banner, Degree Works, EAB Navigate
Experience in a Community College or Registrar's Office
Bilingual Skills is a plus

Salary Range: $68,201 is the starting salary for a Grade 05 position with a Master's Degree; actual salary commensurate with academic background and experience. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, schedule to be determined upon hire. This position will be eligible for a maximum of two days of telework in accordance with the College's telework policy.
