The Computer Sciences Department at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is planning to offer a minor and/or concentration in computer arts, animation, and video game design. It invites applications for multiple positions in any of following fields:
Digital Arts: anime drawing & painting;
2D/3D object or environment modeling;
Character design/sculpturing;
Computer Animation;
Video Game Design/Development;
Computer Science/Engineering at lecturer level beginning in August 2025.
This fast-growing department offers a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, and a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems & Cybersecurity.
These positions are renewable each year depending on demand and prior year performance. All candidates should have a proving record or outstanding potential for excellence in teaching, commitment to service at both the departmental and university levels and possesses effective oral and written communication skills. Responsibilities include, face-to-face, online, day, evening and/or off campus teaching, etc. Service at both the departmental and university levels is expected.
Salary: Salary and benefits are highly competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. It includes a base salary for Fall & Spring semesters (9 months). In addition, Summer semester teaching (June & July), which is highly possible but not guaranteed, provides the potential for an additional ten percent of 9-months base salary for each three-hour class taught, up to a maximum of six hours which is equivalent to a potential additional maximum twenty percent of base salary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher.

Candidates must have received at least Master’s degree prior to start date. Candidates with expertise in ANY of following fields are especially encouraged to apply:
Digital Arts: drawing & painting in any of: traditional media, carton, anime, manga, etc.
2D/3D object/environment modeling
Character design/sculpturing
Computer Animation
Video Game Design/Development
Computer Science/Engineering
Knowledge of open-source digital drawing & painting software Krita desirable
Knowledge of open-source 2D & 3D modeling, sculpturing, animation, game design & development software, such as Blender or Unreal Engine, desirable
