Summary: The Vacuum Services Operations Manager will ensure our operations meet the highest quality standards and financial goals. This role is crucial in evolving our facilities, methods, equipment, and staffing to align with our strategic business objectives, delivering exceptional, timely, and cost-effective repairs and rebuilds
Responsibilities:
Staff Management: Lead comprehensive managerial duties for staff, encompassing performance and compensation management, goal setting, coaching, leadership, and strategic adjustment of staff levels to align with business needs
Operational Efficiency: Achieve operational objectives by standardizing processes, scheduling tasks, and monitoring key metrics
Performance: Implement daily performance management, job cost analysis, and budget comparisons using D365 or Power BI
Oversee budgets and timelines: Manage budgets and timelines for department initiatives, production jobs, and capital projects
Inventory Management: Manage inventory for the Vacuum Services Department
Problem Solving: Resolve operational issues by identifying root causes and implementing CAPA processes, while driving Continual Improvement, Lean, and 6S programs.
Policy and Compliance: Develop and implement department policies and work instructions, maintain accurate process documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies, including HR and safety
Quality Management: Track and improve Corporate Quality Goals, including on-time delivery, continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and defect-free products.
Strategic Planning: Plan for future growth and generate ROI calculations for capital purchases and expansions
Collaboration: Interact with Sales, Customers, and Vendors and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve corporate goals
Technology: Stay updated on manufacturing best practices and technology
Travel: Occasionally travel domestically and internationally

Qualifications:
Required
BS in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
Minimum 4 years’ experience leading a Service Department including direct management experience
Exceptional leadership, management, professional communication, and organizational skills
Expertise in Microsoft software applications
Experienced in Lean, 6S, CAPA, Processing Mapping and Daily performance management
Highly self-motivated and persistent, excelling in fast-paced environments with strong initiative, judgment, and discipline
Preferred
Mechanical working knowledge of vacuum equipment
Knowledgeable in Demand, Resource and Material Planning & Scheduling
Experience in facility expansion planning including floor plan development
