Baylor University is seeking a Studio Facilities Support and Production Technician to support the mission and vision of Baylor University within the Department of Film and Digital Media.
A High School Diploma and one year of relevant work experience is required. A Bachelor's Degree in film, digital media, or related field and three years of relevant work experience in a similar role within an educational or production environment and up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and emerging technologies in film and digital media is preferred.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven expertise in film and digital media production technologies
Experience in facility management and event coordination
Proficiency in audio/video post-production workflows
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Oversee the setup, operations, and maintenance of the Film & Digital Media (FDM) Studio facility and lab facilities (including the sound room, the advanced color grading/post-production lab, screening rooms, and post-production labs)
Coordinate implementation and physical set-up and teardown of all FDM events, both internal and external
Oversee, maintain, and update studio and lab facilities (with regard to scheduling, software updates, and general operations; liaison to ITS and Classroom Technologies)
Oversee set-up, operations, and maintenance of digital media production equipment and materials (i.e., set up and teardown of portable studio control, etc.)
Support the Production Supervisor with research and recommendations on industry trends and standards regarding film/television/streaming production technologies
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
