What Electrical Engineering Technician contributes to Cardinal Health
Engineering is responsible for performing research and analyses to develop design options for components, products, systems and processes.
Electrical Engineering Technicians are responsible for building, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic circuitry and other systems used in finished equipment.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and programming Allen Bradley PLC's
Troubleshoot motors, starters, drives and work with voltage range from 480 to 24 volts.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic systems on complex production equipment. After completing, test and make necessary adjustments for proper operation before turning machine over to production.
Install, repair, and replace temperature controls, solid state controls, programmable logic controllers, HMI?s, MMI?s, position sensors, servo systems, AC and DC electrical motors and motor controllers, transformers, disconnects, and distribution panels.
Use a variety of electrical diagnostic equipment to include oscilloscopes, meggers, digital and analog volt/ohm meters, ammeters, tachometers, computers and other test equipment specific to an area.
Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing electrical equipment following schedules and procedures.
Maintain necessary records to include maintenance logs, parts removed from the stockroom, time sheets, downtime logs, etc. using software packages such as Microsoft Word and/or Excel.
Lift up to 50 pounds of various sizes and shapes.
Climb on ladders or other authorized equipment for maintaining, repairing, replacing, installing or cleaning equipment.
Stand or sit for extended periods of time and work in tight locations when needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Minimum 3-5 years related work experience and/or training preferred
Associates degree in electrical/electronics or equivalent experience preferred
