Hunt Country Equine is seeking a full-time veterinarian for our growing ambulatory equine practice in beautiful Western North Carolina. We also have a brand new clinic/haul in facility and are excited to expand our in house services!
Hunt Country is dedicated to providing top-quality medicine to our patients with kindness and compassion, while building lasting relationships with our clients and supporting the local horse community.
Within the practice, our focus is on fairness and teamwork to allow everyone to have a better quality of life and to foster a positive, supportive work environment. We offer a 4-day work week and shared on-call means doctors are only on call 1 weekend or less per month.
We provide full-service ambulatory care to Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina including preventative care, power dentistry, lameness evaluation and treatment, gastroscopy, in-house blood work, acupuncture, and chiropractic care. Our clients range from the pet horse owner to the avid trail rider to the equine athlete. Equipment includes digital x-ray, ultrasound, gastroscopy, power dental equipment, pro-stride, shockwave and in house blood analyzers.
Strong client communication skills and teamwork is a requirement for this job, and a strong interest in Sport Horse, acupuncture and/or chiropractic is desired. One+ years of experience required. Salary is dependent on experience, but we offer a base pay with production incentive.
Competitive pay and benefits including simple IRA, insurance reimbursement, educational assistance plan, practice vehicle, paid vacation, CE time and stipend, all licenses, insurance and dues paid. Excellent mentorship is available with the opportunity for specialization within the practice.
Rutherfordton/Tryon, North Carolina is located within 1 hr. of both Asheville, NC, and Greenville, SC, and less than 2 hours from Charlotte, NC. All three cities are exciting, active and unique, with a wide variety of opportunities and activities available. Tryon is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains which makes it a popular spot for hiking, water sports, and other outdoor activities. Beautiful coastal beaches are only a few hours away.
