Develops and oversees NCSâ™s national freshman success strategy for growing learning networks for high school and district educators
Facilitates a team of national-facing coaches to deliver coherent, cohesive, and consistent coaching and professional learning services to support implementation of the NCS student success framework
Collaborates with data strategy team to ensure NCS has appropriate data sharing agreements and reports from national district and school partners
Collaborates with Director of Professional Learning to design and facilitate professional learning for national partners
Collaborates with the Director of Coaching to develop resources and tools to assess the viability of school and district partnerships
Collaborates with the Director of Professional Learning to ensure high quality professional learning delivery
Provides Director of Coaching with data and other information as required for reporting to NCS funders
Collaborates with NCS transformation managers as part of the NCS coaching managers team
Coordinates services provided by NCS coaches to ensure efficient implementation and to avoid duplication or overlap of efforts in providing NCS services
Builds collective efficacy and spreads and scales effective practices across NCS coaching teams
Designs and facilitates professional learning for NCS coaches as assigned
Establishes and implements a communications system that keeps coaches informed and focused on executing coaching priorities
Analyzes and uses data to to evaluate, improve upon, and report on effectiveness, progress, and outcomes of NCSâ™s supports to partner schools and districts
Provides critical ecosystems data to enhance collective understanding and refinement of coaching structures as necessitated by data
Works with national partners to develop the capacity to ensure grade level teams have access to actionable data in a user-friendly format needed to implement freshman success initiatives
Partners with the Director of Professional Learning to secure and onboard national partners
Maintains ongoing two-way communication with key partners and documents NCSâ™s work with them
Represents NCS in UChicago and external facing presentations, meetings, and forums as assigned to cultivate relationships that advance the mission and vision of NCS
Coaches assigned school leaders and district teams toward improvement in the Success Teams Framework for School Improvement
Translates research and data into practical steps with district and school leaders for school improvement efforts which focus on improving on-track rates, student course performance, and college and career readiness
Uses knowledge of the divisional vision and values to assess, evaluate, and recommends opportunities for collaboration with partners
Supports broader student initiatives
Coordinates program initiatives, ensuring unity of focus and purpose
Performs other related work as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Master's degree in education, educational leadership, or related field
Experience:
Previous experience in urban education or education outreach
experience in grant-funded research and/or higher education organizations
Experience managing projects and leading teams strongly preferred

Successful experience coaching leaders in educational institutions/settings
Extensive experience leading teams
Extensive experience designing, facilitating, and refining professional learning for in-person and virtual settings
Ability to integrate and effectively use technology for professional productivity, including word processing, presentation (PPT), and spreadsheet software
Experience creating and displaying relevant data sets to understand and solve problems with teams of educators
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with a variety of audiences orally and in writing with tact, sound judgment, courteousness, and reliability
Ability to travel; must have reliably working transportation
Working Conditions
Hybrid work schedule, with on-site at the Hyde Park campus in Chicago and at partner sites
Travel to external stakeholder sites as needed
