University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is currently seeking a Real Estate Project Manager to join the Office of Real Estate, Planning, and Space Management
The Real Estate Project Manager will be expected to support the Office of Real Estate, Planning, and Space Management on projects aimed at improving the vibrancy of the UMB campus and surrounding neighborhood. In particular, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing capital projects for streetscape and other public realm improvements, and for coordinating real estate developments with both public and private organizations. Tasks will require direct coordination with the City of Baltimore, the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, the UM BioPark, private sector real estate developers, design firms, and contractors.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Manage design and construction projects for improvements to sidewalks, roadways, greenspaces, other elements of the public realm.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
Draft RFPs and RFQs to solicit private development teams for UMB infill sites.
Act as the owners/ university representative during the design and construction of new infill sites.
Act as the owners/ university representative in real estate committees.
Assist in securing entitlements for real estate developments and other design and construction projects.
Assist with real property acquisitions, dispositions, leases, assemblages, ground leases, and other necessary agreements.
Procure and manage third party appraisals, title reports, market analysis, and other necessary studies.
Monitor project performance and implement improvements as needed.
Prepare and present project reports.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Experience: Five (5) years of experience in project design, management, implementation, and assessment; and construction of institutional or commercial building projects.
Certification/Licensure: Project Management Certificate or CMAA Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred. Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education.
Valid driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Proven track record of managing and/or working on real estate projects, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Knowledge of real estate finance and proforma analysis.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, including experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Hiring Range: $95,000 - $106,000 (Commensurate with education and experience)
