Digital Spaces manages physical and virtual classrooms, AV/IT operations and solutions, specialized learning environments, and other learning environments (e.g., conference spaces). Digital Spaces oversees that campus spaces are suitably equipped and functional to meet the needs of the educational experience. Digital Spaces oversees the installation and long-term management of display technologies (e.g., screen displays, digital signage) across campus and UCLA event locations. Production Services includes the management of day-to-day operations of the Technical Support area for the BruinCast and Events Services teams. This team develops and implements operational and creative policies and practices to ensure smooth delivery of events and streaming productions for academic activities and conferences and events. This includes multiple campus locations including the Luskin Conference Center, Lake Arrowhead Conference Center, The Hill, and General Use Classrooms (GAC). The team is responsible for overseeing support, repair and maintenance and performance of moderate to complex equipment and software. Position Summary
The Senior AV Support Technician will oversee technical and customer service support for live event services at the Luskin Conference Center, The Hill, Lake Arrowhead Conference Center, and other live event spaces in ITS-controlled venues. This role will advise the operation, setup, teardown, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues with AV technologies across UCLA's campus. The Senior AV Support Technician will advise the application of consultative services for faculty, staff, students, and events customers. The standards set for the consultative services will leverage their experience to create improvements on the utilization of multimedia hardware and software to ensure best-in-class AV requirements are met for planning, execution, and follow-up of live events.

Experience working in one or more of the following fields: information technology, management, customer service, higher education, event production, hospitality management, or a related field. (Required)
Experience working in one or more of the following fields: AV support, computer science, computer information systems or a related field. (Required)
Extensive experience supporting audiovisual (AV) technologies in a live production environment including audio mixers, cameras, lighting, and staging. (Required)
Experience providing technical customer support in a fast-paced, white-glove operational environment. (Required)
Experience with customer issue ticketing systems. (Required)
Proven experience with setup, teardown, and maintenance of audiovisual technologies in a professional customer-centric environment. (Required)
Experience in complex higher education environments, serving academic and administrative functions of a large public university. (Preferred)
Advanced understanding of media production methods and equipment and ability to use this information to troubleshoot the most complex systems. (Required)
Ability to assess campus or institutional needs for AV IT technology products and design services to meet thoseneeds. (Required)

Special Conditions for Employment
The anticipated pay range for this position is $39.51 - $46.67 per hour; salary is dependent upon the skills and experience of the selected finalist.
