Here at Maury County, we have a strong work and personal bond among the staff that is demonstrated by our staff retention, with many of our employees having worked here a decade or longer. The veterinarians take mentorship of staff seriously, and everyone's job is considered important. Five LVTs are available to support the three doctor DVM team in their day to day operations. We offer in-house diagnostics with a full Idexx lab suite, digital x-ray (including dental), ultrasound (large and small animal), as well as surgical and therapy lasers.
Our full time DVM position offers a competitive salary with annual production bonus options, and a four day per week schedule with half days on Saturdays. On-call duties are light, and shared with another clinic in town – Maury County DVMs are on call approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every other month to care for local patients after hours.
Columbia is a Main Street Community and was listed as one of the 10 Best Small Towns to live in by Southern Living Magazine. We are considered a bedroom community to Nashville, which has resulted in an increase in the musical culture of our town with the opening of The Mule House live music venue. We have a rich history with beautiful architectural structures throughout the county.
Within 30 miles of our hospital you can live on a farm with no neighbors- or find a place in a city with new schools and fun activities for both single people and families. We have a Children's museum, record store, breweries with rotating food trucks, and several coffee shops. Even though the clinic is in a small town, we have all the major food delivery services and Uber/Lyft covers most of our town.
Maury County is listed as the fastest growing county in the State of Tennessee. We have a strong industry presence which gives strength to our economy.
