Baeyens Hauk Veterinary Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate associate veterinarian to become a vital member of our expert team. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care in Central Arkansas at both our main hospital in Sherwood, and our satellite clinic in Argenta. Our point of care diagnostic equipment includes Idexx laboratory machines, digital radiography, dental radiography, and ultrasound. Additionally, we have the only practicing veterinarian that is certified in rehabilitation therapy in the state of Arkansas. At the Argenta location we offer a rehabilitation therapy program utilizing an under water treadmill and therapy laser.
Our veterinarians work four shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00a - 6:00p or 7:30 - 5:30p depending on location. Saturdays and Sundays as needed for hospitalized patients. No on call shifts.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care to small animals, including preventive care, diagnostics, surgeries, and treatments.
Educate clients on pet health, wellness, and preventive measures, empowering them to make informed decisions for their pets.
Collaborate with our team to ensure efficient and effective patient care, supporting each other through the inevitable ups and downs.
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.

Qualifications:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Arkansas (or the ability to obtain one).
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to engage clients and build strong relationships.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Work requires lifting, squatting, twisting and carrying patients and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
Requires sitting or standing for 100% of the time
Able to work in moderate noise environment, including animal noise
Able to work well under pressure and at high levels of stress
Must be willing and able to have exposure to supplies commonly used in a hospital setting such as anesthetic gasses, chemicals, drugs, and x-ray radiation within OSHA standards
Must understand and assume the risk of injury from animals
Must be able to climb stairs

Excellent Communication Skills and the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff.
Client communication skills, must be able to elicit information, establish rapport, offer explanations with pet owners.
Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain.
May include some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work.
Position does require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
