Position Summary

The Operations & Facilities Management Department at Washington University School of Medicine is committed to delivering a comprehensive range of services to support the medical campus.

We oversee maintenance and operations for 65 buildings, covering more than 10.1 million gross square feet of space. This includes the 11-story, 609,000-square-foot neuroscience research building, which houses one of the worldâ™s highest concentrations of neuroscientists. Our responsibilities include operational and administrative support, strategic planning, and project management.

Furthermore, as the School of Medicine continues to expand its presence both on and off campus in areas such as teaching, clinical care, and research, our team remains instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of clinical care, advancing research initiatives, and facilitating educational endeavors.

The position is responsible for various general accounting functions related to data integrity of general ledger activities and monthly, quarterly and yearly closing processes.

Job Description

• Responsible for data integrity and department approval of various on-line documents (journals and budget adjustments, receipt voucher, purchase orders, travel documents, change orders and invoices).
• Creates and maintains various general ledger account profiles, including creating new departments and funds. Assures the integrity of general ledger accounts, analyzes and solves system problems pertaining to these accounts and responds to various inquires on general accounting and departmental issues.
• Responsible for timely processing of all Accounting Information Systems documents according to closing schedules, investigates and corrects module rejects in a timely manner.
• Responsible for preparing various general ledger entries to facilitate monthly, quarterly and yearly closing and for reconciling, reporting and analyzing various general ledger accounts.
• Assist with administrative general accounting and system related projects on an as needed basis with direction from supervisor.
• Assists with special projects such as division financial plan and budget.
• Establishes and maintains systems to monitor department income and expense.

Salary Range

$23.37 - $36.19 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
