Duties/Responsibilities: EPINET Measurement Based Care (70%): -Schedule appointments with patients and staff per protocols; send reminders for appointments as needed -Prepare for clinical appointments by reserving rooms and equipment, printing off forms, creating participant profiles, etc. -Create patient profiles within data collection tools -Conduct assessments such as: diagnostic interviews; clinical interviews for symptom and functioning; and neurocognitive assessments -Collect data using paper forms, digital databases, and computerized tools per protocol -Support patients during self-report tasks, including providing instructions, technical troubleshooting, and answering questions -Score assessment materials and paperwork from appointments -Conduct clinical chart reviews using medical records -Order Measurement Based Care reports for clinicians as requested -Attend clinic huddles to coordinate patient care with care team -Adhere to clinic policies -Communicate critical observations to clinical team members and/or study team leads as required -Other tasks as assigned
Research Participant Recruitment and Retention (10%): -Recruit interested individuals to participate in research projects; meet in person or over the phone and answer email inquiries -Support recruitment into other EPINET studies by providing referrals to team members -Use pre-established recruitment materials to advertise the study, per protocol -Coordinate with clinicians at the recruiting site via email, electronic health systems, and team meetings to learn of potential participants
-Coordinate patient referrals by joining clinical appointments -Screen participants for eligibility using pre-established scripts and questionnaires -Obtain informed consent and assent; conduct assessments of capacity to consent to research -Maintain regular contact with research participants per protocol to keep participants engaged in research activities -Dispense participant compensation -Support participants with technological issues, including during remote components of the study -Communicate with research coordinators from other research labs to provide referrals, as appropriate -Other tasks as assigned
Data Management (10%): -Enter scored data into databases; verify entered data using double-entry procedures -Extract or transcribe data from outside sources for permanent storage in study databases -Complete regular quality checks and clean-up of data -Prepare data for submission to national data archive centers per grant requirements -Prepare regular updates for team meetings and grant reports, as requested -Maintain regulatory documents such as enrollment logs as required by local and federal regulations -Other tasks as assigned
Lab support tasks (10%): -Participate in regular team meetings -Conduct literature reviews in support of manuscripts, grants, and other tasks as needed -Prepare materials for presentations, publications, and grants, such as figures or tables -Support quality improvement initiatives to help improve clinical operations -Other tasks as assigned
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials
Required Qualifications: -BA/BS or a combination of related education and employment experience totaling four years -Excellent communication skills, both written and oral -Excellent attention to detail -Excellent people skills, such as the ability to form strong working relationships, customer relations, etc. -Ability to self-organize and work independently
Preferred Qualifications: -BA/BS in Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field -Previous experience conducting clinical research, including: screening and recruiting participants; obtaining informed consent; conducting standardized clinical interviews and/or neurocognitive assessments -Previous experience in a clinical setting, including direct patient care, medical scribe, nursing assistant, or similar -Previous experience working with individuals with psychotic illnesses in a clinical or research setting
