Job Description:
The Fermanian School of Business (FSB) is an ACBSP accredited 'Best Practice' school with approximately 900 students across traditional undergraduate degrees in business, and graduate and adult undergraduate degrees in both business and leadership. Our FSB guiding principle is 'more than the bottom line.' FSB is highly collaborative and supportive of scholarship activities. Our traditional undergraduate majors include management, marketing, accounting, finance, information systems, and international development. The FSB also offers an evening MBA program for experienced professionals, an early career MBA program for recent graduates, and both online and face-to-face Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership (MAOL) degrees. In addition, the FSB offers both online Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership (BAOL) degrees, and partners with local community colleges to offer face-to-face 2+2 BBA and BAOL degrees.
Salary:
PLNU pays its faculty using a pay scale based on experience and academic rank. Faculty salaries using this scale for a 2-semester appointment range from $73,245 to $126,825. The actual salary will be based on the experience, rank, and appointment term of the candidate selected to fill this position.

Responsibilities of Professor of Management
Responsibilities begin in August 2025 and will include teaching a variety of courses in Management. We are interested in professors with expertise in one or more areas of interest including supply chain, project management, strategy, organizational behavior, human resources, and data decision making.
Management faculty must have knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques appropriate to be effective with undergraduate and graduate teaching. They are also expected to have knowledge of ways to instruct, manage, motivate, and evaluate students and do the following:
Teach undergraduate and graduate Management courses in a variety of modalities
Be confident with inclusive teaching practices
Advise and mentor students academically, professionally, and spiritually
Participate in departmental activities and governance
Participate in continuous improvement efforts including FSB assessment and engagement in professional development
Serve on university faculty committees and perform other normal faculty duties
Engage in scholarship
Involve students in research or professional experience as appropriate
Work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, parents, and community members
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or DBA earned or in progress in Management or a closely related area
Demonstrated experience as an instructor in management
Commitment to continuous improvement through reflective teaching practices
Commitment to ongoing professional activity and scholarship.
An active and maturing faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to PLNU as an intentional Christian community in the Wesleyan tradition. This includes living in agreement with PLNU's Community Life Covenant.
