Oversees customer service delivery, and facilities development, maintenance and utilization. Also oversees development, implementation and utilization of agency technology/management information systems.
Responsible for administrative and capital project planning and execution strategies; implementation of technology and related software to assure Reston Community Center (RCC) administrative functions comply with all applicable county, state and federal financial and security requirements; and assures that customer services are delivered in effective, efficient and reliable formats, with friendly, respectful and supportive service practices. Assures the continuity of RCC operations for facilities, management information systems and customer service desks and internet portals. Works under the minimal supervision of the Executive Director.
Salary: The selected applicant's starting salary rate will not exceed the midpoint ($129,591.49) of the advertised compensation range. Promotional rules apply for current Fairfax County Government and Fairfax County Public Schools employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following: (Click on the aforementioned link to learn how Fairfax County interprets equivalencies for "Any combination, experience, and training equivalent to") Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in recreation, public administration, or a closely related field; plus four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in diversified recreational or cultural programs, including two years in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a large recreational or cultural facility. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment and initiative.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Seven years of progressive leadership experience.
Experience overseeing complex capital projects with project management responsibility.
Experience leading business systems transitions.
Ability to present to and conduct public meetings.
Experience with strategic planning and team-building.
Demonstrated success in identifying and managing competitive environments to increase participation in public recreation, cultural and social offerings.
