The basics of this position:
This is a district-wide position based at the Florissant Valley campus that will provide support to the various Health Sciences Program Coordinators to effectively manage program admissions and take an active role in providing timely communication with students.
What you'll do:
• Point person from Academic Affairs for selective admissions. • Manages applicant pools for all health science programs. • Manages and communicates waitlists for any programs with a waitlist. • Prepares standardized communication with program coordinators for students through their selective admissions process and waitlist process. • Works closely with the program coordinators to review and/or coordinate student requests, appeals, or exceptions that fall outside the standard application workflow. • Communicates with advising and enrollment to assist students and for updates on program fill. • Works with IT to streamline or make changes to the selective admissions workflow. • Work with program coordinators to make sure websites have accurate information. • Work with recruitment and advising/enrollment for regular updates on programs. • Facilitate tour participation with program coordinators for recruitment opportunities. • Assist dean with any new program offerings to maintain consistency. • Work with program coordinators regarding accreditation standards and process improvement for meeting standards. • Arrange appointments for students with program coordinators regarding more information on the program or selective admissions into the program. • Communicate demand in programs with dean. • Assist programs, in conjunction with Institutional Research, to collect data, statistics and other relevant data regarding student program enrollment. • Coordinate and work in coordination with recruitment activities, including representing the school at admissions events and other forums, online chats, and webinars.
Education, experience, and other requirements:
Master’s degree or equivalent and over three (3) years of relevant full-time experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project manager and/or academic support experience in a higher education setting strongly preferred. Previous experience with Banner, COGNOS and/or Hyperion database services also a plus.
