The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in structural engineering and related disciplines, advising and mentoring students pursuing an undergraduate minor in structural engineering. Additional duties may include coordinating undergraduate and graduate structural engineering courses and participating in activities related to ABET accreditation of the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree.
Candidates with a Structural Engineering (SE) license are strongly encouraged to apply. Teaching experience with evidence of teaching excellence is required. Applicants must have earned a doctoral degree in Civil Engineering and a Professional Engineering (PE) license with 5 years of industry experience; alternatively, candidates with an MS in Structural Engineering and 15 years of structural design experience will also be considered. The ability to teach courses that integrate computing, machine learning, and their applications in civil engineering is also desirable.

In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, the annual (9 month) base salary range for this position is $85,000-$125,000 for the Industry Assistant Professor rank and $100,000-$150,000 for the Industry Associate Professor rank.
