WellHaven Pet Health of Minnetonka (WHPH), an AAHA-accredited and fear-free focused Veterinary Hospital, seeks Veterinary Students for their Clinical Rotations.
We are a small animal practice just 20 minutes from the heart of Minneapolis. WHPH of Minnetonka is centrally located and only 20-30 minutes from the Twin Cities,
Our facility provides you with modern equipment, a cloud-based computer system, a Cubex pharmacy system for controlled drugs, digital radiography including dental radiographs, an in-house IDEXX lab suite, and a rigorous anesthesia monitoring system (BP, EtCO2, SpO2, EKG) including a Doppler.
Our practice has a combined DVM experience of over 25 years, with highly skilled CVTs and Vas. Our practice encourages preventative Care through Care Companion Plans to offer clients an easy and affordable way to stay current on vaccines, bloodwork, and prophylactic dental.
We are proud to provide full mouth digital radiographs standardly with all dental procedures and have an ultrasound, digital radiography, and a full Idexx suite of in-house lab machines.
Our goal is to get answers for sick patients’ same day. At Minnetonka, we see wellness, urgent/same-day sick, and do surgery three days/week, including emergency procedures when needed.
We want to expand our team with someone motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, and a team player.
We encourage all team members to utilize Fear-Free techniques while handling patients. We also work with and support rescue caseload here and love our partnerships in the community - ask about it!
Our hospital is designed with fear-free in mind, including separate areas for our hospitalized patients, including an isolation ward, dog ward, and cat ward only. We added a sound machine and light dimmers to make our kennel rooms more comfortable for our patients.

You must be enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program and authorized to work in the United States.

In this program, you will:
Receive broad clinical experience under the supervision of experienced veterinarians, including internal medicine, surgery, and any other services the specific hospital offers.
Observe and participate in medical and surgical procedures, diagnostics and their interpretation, and direct client communication when possible.
Our hospital is part of the WellHaven Pet Health (“WellHaven”) network of hospitals. This allows us to have a more extensive and stronger support system, connecting with other hospitals in the area while remaining autonomous.

WellHaven was born of the conviction that each veterinary team member and pet parent makes a difference when it comes to the profession as a whole. Because when we all work together, our pets get better care and feel loved. That, to us, is what it’s all about.Well people, well pets, well practice and well community are what guide us, and are the heart of everything we do.From that simple concept, our partnerships have grown to more than 40 hospitals throughout five states. And there’s always room for more in the WellHaven family.
