The Senior Manager EPIC Delivery & Implementation is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the technology strategy, responsibilities, services and deliverables for various high complex initiatives of significant scope. Responsibilities will include driving the overall project and product portfolio strategy to align with overarching BJC initiatives ensuring the greatest value is delivered. They will also manage resources and ensure that the BJC Technology Portfolio solutions are in alignment to the Business goals and strategy. This role will ensure that Projects, Programs, Products and Portfolios being delivered are within the stipulated and agreed upon cost, quality, plan, time. Other responsibilities will include the development and establishment of standard governance plans/documentation and ensure that benefits realization is controlled and achieved, through all projects adhere to the timelines and the teams are connected to meet the ultimate goals. The Senior Manager, Delivery & Implementation will oversee the PMO Project Portfolio vision and blueprint development is in alignment with the benefits and quality management plans; engage with stakeholder management and where necessary assist in project planning which includes milestone management; and risk and issue management. Integral to delivering these responsibilities will be financial management; maintaining risks, issues, assumptions, actions logs; resource forecasting; dependency management; and Portfolio reporting to the respective stakeholders. The leader will build cohesion within the team and motivate team to produce quality work.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Authorizes the structure of portfolios and aligns the portfolio with strategies, objectives and emerging opportunities. Leads the definition, implementation and review of the organizationâ™s Portfolio management framework. Sets parameters for the prioritization of PMO resources and the changes to be implemented. Recommends and implements corrective action by engaging and influencing senior management. Leads the on-going monitoring and review of portfolios for impact on current business activities and the strategic benefits to be realized. Implements Portfolio governance and collects, summarizes and reports on portfolio measures and benefit realization to the organization.Â
Directs the definition, implementation and continual improvement of systems development. Aligns systems development to business strategies and objectives and with emerging technology and digital opportunities. Authorizes the structure of systems development functions and platforms. Sets strategy for resource management within systems development programs.
Leads and manages the creation or review of a strategy that meets the strategic requirements of the business. Develops, communicates, implements and reviews the processes which embed strategic management in the operational management of the organization. Leads the definition, implementation, and communication of the defined strategy.
Plans and leads the identification and assessment of emerging technologies and the evaluation of potential impacts, threats and opportunities. Collaborates with internal and external parties to facilitate intelligence gathering. Creates technology roadmaps that align organizational plans with emerging technology solutions.
Determines the strategic approach to understanding stakeholder objectives and requirements. Works with all interested parties to identify stakeholders and establish effective relationships. Establishes and promotes the overall vision for how stakeholder objectives are met and determines organizational roles and alignment. Actively manages relationships with the most senior stakeholders, and is the ultimate escalation point for issue resolution.
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.

Salary Range
$96,000.00 - $169,300.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
