Works with partners and members of the research team to propose and implement analytical approaches to solve specific epidemiologic, geospatial, and digital health research questions.
Collect, organize, and maintain large spatial and non-spatial datasets from various internal and external sources.
Documents source code and data management and analysis procedures.
Prepares tables and figures for manuscripts, abstracts, and other scientific publications.
Clean, manage, and analyze large datasets using statistical software.
Assist in the development of research protocols and other study-related documentation.
Collaborate with the research team to interpret results and contribute to the preparation of manuscripts, grant proposals, and conference presentations.
Ensure data integrity and security throughout the research process, adhering to best practices in data management.
Assist with literature reviews and help to write manuscripts, grants, and reports.
Stay updated on new data analysis methods and tools relevant to the research field.
Assists in analyzing data for the purpose of extracting applicable information. Performs research projects that provide analysis for a number of programs and initiatives.
May assist staff or faculty members with data manipulation, statistical applications, programming, analysis and modeling on a scheduled or ad-hoc basis.
Collects, organizes, and may analyze information from the University's various internal data systems as well as from external sources.
Maintains and analyzes statistical models using general knowledge of best practices in machine learning and statistical inference. Performs maintenance on large and complex research and administrative datasets. Responds to requests and engages other IT resources as needed.
Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications Â
Education:
Masterâ™s degree in public health, geography, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related field.
Preferred Competencies
Previous experience in research coordination and data analysis is strongly preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team.
Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, etc. ) and data management tools.
Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Experience working with GIS, environmental linkages, and/or wearable device data is a plus.
Excellent problem problem-solving skills and analytic skills.
A desire to help others and an interest in public health, especially around health disparities and advancing racial equity.
