Summary
The Grants Specialist manages all pre-award functions for grants and contracts and may assist with post-award as needed within the College of Engineering for the Engineering Research Institute.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating, advising, and assisting faculty in the preparation of proposals for federal and non-federal agencies
Development and preparation of proposal budgets including subcontracts
Establishing timelines, initiating, routing, and approving proposals in Streamlyne
Applying editorial expertise and formatting requirements
Utilizing experience in grant and contract submissions to interact with funding agencies and resolve questions that arise during preparation.
The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to develop complex applications. This position will require additional hours on occasion to meet submission deadlines. All staff members are expected to interact collegially and maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
