Full-time faculty positions will be posted on a per-opening basis. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Applicants will be evaluated at the college/school level for the position which they are submitting an application. Unless noted by a close date, positions will remain open until they are filled. Part-time Faculty Positions
DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit. All individuals in the pool will be notified by email when the posting is closed.

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) at DePaul University is accepting applications from those interested in part-time opportunities to develop and teach courses in one or more of the following subjects: accounting, project management, risk management, research writing and interdisciplinary liberal arts topics. A master's degree, Ph.D. or terminal degree in a related field and relevant experience is required. Experience teaching at the college level is desirable, but not required.
This DePaul teaching assignment requires one evening a week on site at the College of Lake County (CLC) campus in Grayslake, Illinois and the potential for fully online teaching.
SCPS serves adult, non-traditional students, and underserved populations, and provides flexible learning formats and scheduling to meet student needs. The school offers a variety of majors including Business Administration, Non-profit Management, and Leadership Studies. Students develop lifelong learning, writing, critical thinking, research and career development assessment and planning skills throughout their multi-disciplinary curriculum.
Required Qualifications: To teach at the undergraduate level, a Master's degree is required in a related field to the subject area you wish to teach. To teach at the graduate level, a Doctorate or terminal degree is required in a related field.
If you do not have a Master's degree in a related field, in order to teach at the undergraduate level, you must have:
A minimum of 18 semester hours at the master's level in the discipline to be taught.
Tested experience demonstrating a breadth and depth of experience outside of the classroom in real-world situations relevant to the discipline to be taught. Examples include graduate coursework, professional licensure and/or certifications, professional experience (not less than 10 years), scholarly contributions, and special awards or other noteworthy accomplishments, relevant to the teaching assignment.
Previous teaching experience and course evaluations preferred.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate success in working and teaching in a diverse learning environments. Special Instructions to Applicants: Part-time teaching opportunities are available including online, hybrid, and on-campus throughout the academic year. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs, demonstrated successful teaching experience, and appropriate, verified qualifications will be contacted for an interview. Academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter and the school will work with selected individuals to determine a quarterly schedule. Courses are not guaranteed; however, the school does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations. Online courses are taught using the Desire2Learn (D2L) learning management system.
