The Bruin Connect and Secure program will ensure the campus enterprise leverages industry best-practices to strengthen and unify our campus networks and to improve our information security practices. The program will enable a unified, secure and scalable infrastructure that provides a seamless and consistent performance for our community. Strategy, Planning, and Operations leads and manages a large and complex portfolio of IT projects and programs while establishing partnerships and stakeholder engagement efforts with students, faculty, staff, and external partners on behalf of the IT organization. The Strategy, Planning, and Operations Office also manages organizational initiatives and efforts, including general administrative functions, financial management and budgeting, vendor management and licensing, billing, internal communications, department human resources, talent management, and culture development. Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager - Network, Bruin Connect and Secure program leads project delivery by forming strong business relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for executing program and project management deliverables for UCLA and the Bruin Connect and Secure program.
The Senior Project Manager - Network works closely with technical teams to ensure the successful deployment and integration of network unification investments in areas such as Campus Connectivity, Core and Enterprise Routing, Network Operations & Monitoring. This role is responsible for managing comprehensive project plans, controlling scope, and directing project budget resources towards the completion of project deliverables. The Senior Project Manager - Network is an enthusiastic change agent who manages ambiguity and influence in a federated organization. The Senior Project Manager will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture by enabling University stakeholders to effectively leverage data and insights in service of the institution's academic mission. This team member will advance the University's mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and students. Five or more years experience working in one or more of the following fields: project management, information technology, data services, application services, IT service management, or related field. (Required)
Experience working in a project-based environment using leading project management practices including schedule management, status reporting, and communication of project risks and issues. (Required)
Experience participating in activities to advance an inclusive environment that values equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging. (Required)
Seven or more years experience working in one or more of the following fields: project management, information technology, data services, application services, IT service management, or related field. (Preferred)
Experience in complex higher education environments, serving academic and administrative functions of a large public university. (Preferred)
Thorough knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts. Demonstrated competency in selecting and implementing project management methods and techniques. (Required)

Special Conditions for Employment
This is a two year contract appointment. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that includes regular visits to campus as needed (for those who work remotely, travel/lodging expenses are not eligible for reimbursement).
The anticipated pay range for this position is $132,300 - $150,000, annually; salary is dependent upon the skills and experience of the selected finalist.
