North Madison Animal Hospital is a premier veterinary facility dedicated to providing exceptional care to all patients. Located in the heart of Jackson, Tennessee, we boast a team of passionate professionals committed to the well-being and health of pets. We have a doctor to technician ratio of 1:2. We have a dynamic team of doctors, technicians, and receptionists who have been with the hospital for years. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our esteemed team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering high-quality veterinary care with a focus on client communication and patient welfare. We are seeking a veterinarian with a passion for exotic animals and wildlife. Our facility provides top notch care for local companion animals, exotics, and raptor/wildlife rehabilitation centers. Responsibilities:
Utilize our state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, including radiography (digital X-rays), digital dental X-rays, ECG, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory, to uncover the root of your patients' medical mysteries.
Work with our team of dedicated professionals to provide rapid and accurate diagnoses, ensuring that no tail goes untucked and no whisker goes unexamined.
Collaborate with owners to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their pets unique needs.
Stay ahead of the curve by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary diagnostics and technology.
Maintain meticulous records of diagnostic tests and results, because when it comes to pet health, details matter.
Qualifications:
Veterinarian degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university.
Current State Veterinary License.
DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
Experience overseeing Veterinary Technicians and Assistants as well as other hospital or practice staff.
Must demonstrate a desire to continue learning in veterinary care and participate in leading staff training.
Position Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Excellent Communication Skills and the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff.
Client communication skills, must be able to elicit information, establish rapport, offer explanations with pet owners.
Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain.
May include some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work.
Position does require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
