This position exists to coordinate the support of a university-wide leadership, recognition and engagement strategy, which includes programs, events and resources that foster a positive and engaging work environment where the community feels valued and celebrated. This role provides logistical, administrative and fiscal support to the Leadership and Organization Engagement (LOE) team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manages supplies,reservations and catering forprograms and events
Manages new and existing vendor relationships, including contracts.
Creates and maintainsdetailed tasks lists for events and programs
Anticipates needs and problem-solves challenges related to event and program coordination
Organizes, schedules, and supports event logistics, includingidentifying team and volunteer opportunities
Participates on relevant university committees to support team mission and initiatives
Maintains team administrative processes, including customized requests,whileidentifyingprocess improvements
Prepares reports and presentations for leadership, including status updates
Leads team in supply inventory and organization, including shipments and storage of supplies.
OverseesLOE marketing and communication efforts, including SharePoint site management and email accounts.Delegates as needed
Follows University processes to manage LOE team budget, purchasing and reporting needs. Collaborates with HR administration manager as needed.
Assist team in purchasing and reporting as needed
This role may occasionally supervise student employees or interns based on needs and capacity.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with HR front desk to request occasional support for LOE events and programs, including printing and assembling materials
Provides real-time direction by acting as liaison for event volunteers/support staff
Support LOE director with team coordination/administration oversight, such as team retreats, development, and planning sessions as needed
Serves on relevant committees and planning teams to provide logistical support for events such as Roadrunners Who Soar, Years of Service, New Employee Community Welcomeluncheons and the annual Bring a Child to Work Day
Engage in professional development as related to the role and responsibilities
Required Qualifications:
3+ years experience in coordinating large-scale events or programs
1+ years providing office/administrative support
Experiencedeveloping andinitiating marketing and communication efforts
Experience managing vendors and maintaining budgets
Experiencewith purchasing, reporting andmaintaining fiscal records
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Experience working in higher education
3+ years of experience in employee engagement or recognition.
3+ years experiencepurchasing and managing budgets
Experience using Workday Learning or a Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Experience managing a website or SharePoint site
Experience supervising others or managing volunteers
Skills

Days of the Week:Mon " Fri
Evenings and Weekend Work:Evenings hours are rare and align to event and program scheduling. No weekend hours.

Travel:travel is optional and occasional, not required for the role
Salary for Announcement Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $45,300.00-$62,000.00
This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
