Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty):

Associate's Degree and three years of work experience (paid or volunteer) supporting community programs that serve children, youth or adults OR Bachelor's Degree and one year of work experience (paid or volunteer) one year of which must be working in youth development programs, adult education, teaching, program delivery or related functions OR Five years experience in a field related to the duties of the position AND a high school diploma or equivalent. AND Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated skill to work with diverse audiences. Demonstrated skill to use computers for word processing, data management, and communications.

Requirements :

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a broad and diverse audience.
• Experience (paid or volunteer) delivering and/or supporting educational programs.
• Experience working with youth and volunteers.
• Experience using computer applications such as or similar to Microsoft office.
• General knowledge and ability to use computers, including proficiency with information technology, professional office software and collaborative work platforms.
• Ability to work as a team member with other professionals and community members.
• Ability to handle multiple, detail-oriented tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to learn and adapt to using multiple forms of digital communication systems, including websites, email newsletters, social media, and other tools in a changing technological environment.
• Ability to successfully engage with broad and diverse populations in a culturally responsible manner.

Type:

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends depending on program needs.
• Access to a vehicle is necessary as duties will require travel/driving throughout Malheur County to deliver programming and services.
• Ability to transport (lift, carry, push and/or pull) up to 30 lbs. of instructional materials and/or equipment.
• Position duties will include working in varied working environments including professional offices and county fairs.
