Strategy, Planning, and Operations leads and manages a large and complex portfolio of IT projects and programs while establishing partnerships and stakeholder engagement efforts with students, faculty, staff, and external partners on behalf of the IT organization. The Strategy, Planning, and Operations Office also manages organizational initiatives and efforts, including general administrative functions, financial management and budgeting, vendor management and licensing, billing, internal communications, department human resources, talent management, and culture development. The Bruin Connect & Secure program will ensure the campus enterprise leverages industry best-practices to strengthen and unify our campus networks and to improve our information security practices. The program will enable a unified, secure and scalable infrastructure that provides a seamless and consistent performance for our community. Position Summary
The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist, Bruin Connect & Secure will lead the development and evaluation of organization change management processes, fostering smooth transitions for employees during current-to-future state transitions.
The Organizational Change Management Specialist will focus on the people impacted by changes to technology, IT systems, technological interfaces, and associated business processes. This Specialist will partner with the OCM Director and project managers to develop and execute integrated change and program plans; coach executives and team leaders in promoting change adoption within their departments, create and drive strategies for faster and more complete adoption; and identify and manage resistance and risk. The Specialist will have responsibilities including stakeholder engagement, change impact assessments, communications, training, and reporting. The OCM Specialist will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture by enabling university stakeholders to effectively adopt improvements and changes to technology and business processes in service of the institution's academic, research and service mission. This team member will advance the University's mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and students. Three years experience working in one or more of the following fields: organizational change management, strategic communications, information technology, or another related field. (Required)
Experience executing change management best practices on complex projects, including documenting change impacts and creating change plans. (Required)
Experience working in a project-based environment using leading project management practices including schedule management, status reporting, and communication of project risks and issues. (Required)
Experience participating in activities to advance an inclusive environment that values equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging. (Required)
Five or more years experience working in one or more of the following fields: organizational change management, strategic communications, information technology. (Preferred)
Experience in complex higher education environments, serving academic and administrative functions of a large public university. (Preferred)
Advanced project consulting and management skills to ensure operations are running smoothly and deadlines can be met effectively. (Required)

Special Conditions for Employment
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that includes regular visits to campus as needed (for those who work remotely, travel/lodging expenses are not eligible for reimbursement).
The anticipated pay range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000, annually; salary is dependent upon the skills and experience of the selected finalist.
