Human Services, a department within UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education, provides continuing education and professional development programs for the human services workforce throughout California. Within UC Davis Human Services, the Title IV-E Education Program provides specialized professional education and monetary support to undergraduate and graduate students who intend to pursue or continue a social work career in the field of public child welfare. In partnership with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), UC Davis Human Services has responsibility for administering this program for the 10 schools of social work in the Northern, Bay Area and Central regions of the state.
Under the direct supervision of the Title IV-E Program Supervisor, this position is responsible for support, logistics and implementation of Human Services programs and events and will help develop administrative processes and structures for the new UC Davis site of the Title IV-E program. Develop and adhere to project procedures to ensure achievement of contract deliverables, goals and budget. Provide overall management for contract-related projects and events. Plan logistics of events, conferences, convenings and meetings, including project management, fiscal responsibility for the event and overseeing instructor/consultant compensation, facilities and catering. Provide on-site and virtual support for meetings, conferences, events and special programs. Assist with development of new projects and related program policies, procedures, documents, forms and surveys. Provide high-quality customer service and effective communication with program partners; manage email and telephone communication with schools and contract partners, ensuring timely response and follow-up. Support a variety of projects as directed, which may include planning and scheduling of meetings, notetaking, and development of meeting agendas, documents, and record keeping/tracking systems. Participate in unit and department-wide meetings and committees. Assist with gathering and compiling program data and creating reports.

Minimum Qualifications

Project management experience, including experience organizing and scheduling complex projects, conferences and events, both in-person and virtual.
Experience with online meeting and event applications to support virtual, hybrid and live-streaming needs, such as Zoom for remote events and meetings, and YouTube for live streaming and on-demand viewing.
Experience working in a team and establishing positive working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to interact professionally and effectively in person, on the telephone, online and via email.
Experience drafting, editing and producing correspondence, reports, forms and presentations. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience developing and managing a project budget and using online financial systems to accurately document expenses.
Analytical skills to identify issues, compare data, and develop goals or plans for resolution and implementation.
Organizational and time management skills to manage, track, and work on multiple and simultaneous complex tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Zoom Events, YouTube Studio, or comparable virtual event and networking platform solutions
Knowledge of Eventbrite, Qualtrics or comparable attendee management systems

UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) is the lifelong learning arm of the university.
